CRC Workshop Series Policies and Philosophy

Unless otherwise noted, the fee for all workshops is $10 for CRC members and $20 for non-members (click here for more information on membership).  Upon registering, you will receive an email confirming your registration and detailing fees and payment options.  In general, we prefer that workshop fees are paid in advance of the class, which can be accomplished over the phone with a credit card, by sending a check to our office (please write “workshop” on check), or stopping by our office with cash, check or visa or mastercard.  In some cases, we are also able to take payment in the form of cash or check at the beginning of the workshop.  The fee includes all course materials.

Participants are encouraged to bring along paper and pens for taking notes.

Enrollment

The CRC attempts to accommodate everyone that would like to attend our workshops, however in some cases class size is limited by the space available.  All workshops are open on a first-come basis.  Advance payment for the class will secure your seat.  If class registrations exceed class space, we will request that all unpaid registrants secure their seat with payment. In cases where workshops are over booked, we are happy to add your name to a waiting list and inform you when new workshops are added to the schedule.

Workshop Atmosphere

We try our best to make your experience rewarding and enjoyable. The CRC attempts to offer workshops on a wide range of topics of interest to our Boulder community and utilize a range of experts as instructors.  We are always open to suggestions for new workshops, classes and potential instructors.  We work hard to organize our workshops and ask that participants be respectful and considerate of our staff, instructors and other workshop participants.  Anyone that is disruptive to the learning atmosphere or disrespectful to others will be asked to leave.  In general we request that questions be held until the end of the class or until the instructor indicates that he or she will take questions.  

Cancellation Policy

If you find that you are unable to attend a workshop for which you have registered, we ask that you notify us via email or phone (303)-441-3278 at least one week in advance, so that we may make your space available to someone else.  If you have pre-paid for a workshop and cancel at least one week in advance, your payment may be refunded.  If you need to cancel within one week of the workshop date, your payment may be applied as a credit towards another workshop, or towards membership to the CRC.

Logistics

Unless otherwise noted, all classes are held in Boulder, Colorado.  Most workshops take place in the evening between 6:00 and 8:00 PM.  Participants are asked to sign in at the beginning of the workshop up to one half hour prior to the start of the class.  We encourage participants to arrive early enough to sign in so as not to disrupt classes after they begin.
