Darrell Laham
President
Darrell Laham

Darrell Laham is a scientist, technologist, and entrepreneur who is new to the alternative energy industry. He holds a Joint Ph.D. in Cognitive Science and Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He recently retired from Pearson Knowledge Technologies (PKT), a company he co-founded in 1998 as Knowledge Analysis Technologies (KAT).  Darrell created Solorado, LLC to provide business, technical and investment analysis support for renewable energy projects. He is interested in all forms of clean energy and wants to help make Colorado a world leader in these technologies. He believes that the issues surrounding energy production are the most critical problems facing the world today. Darrell believes in the power of capitalism guided by compassion to solve these problems.

 

Norm Murphy

Norm Murphy

Norm is a real estate developer of mixed use and residential real estate with a focus on affordable, green-built homes within the urban landscape.  He's the founder of Canyon Properties and Mindful Homes with holdings in Colorado.  He served as Assistant to the former Chief Justice of the United States, Warren Burger, and is a graduate of Georgetown University.

 

 

Caroline Himes

Caroline Himes

Caroline Himes is the Executive Associate Director for the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), a research institute at the University of Colorado.  LASP scientists study atmospheric, planetary, solar terrestrial, and space plasma physics.  She has a BS in accounting and an MS in resource economics. She has served on several other non-profit boards in the Boulder area.

 

                                                                                                                                     

Joe McDonald
Joe McDonald

Joe is Vice President of Finance at Boulder Community Hospital and unofficially the Environmental Advocate at the hospital. He initiated the development of the hospital's award winning Environmental Program. A 22 year resident of Boulder, Joe has been active in environmental and political circles. He currently serves on the City of Boulder's Economic Viability Advisory Board. Joe is also the winner of the 2003 Daily Camera Pacesetter award for the Environment.

 


Greg Harms

Greg has lived in the Boulder area since 1992.  He served on the Board of Directors for the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless for five years before becoming the Executive Director in 2002.  He has also served on the boards of E-town, the Inn Between, Boulder County Advocates for Transitional Housing. Greg holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from Kansas State University and a MBA from Harvard University.  He worked in the for-profit sector including stints with Hewlett-Packard, Emerson Electric, Qualcomm and Ericsson Wireless Communications before joining the Shelter.

 


Irina Bulkley-Hopkins

Irina received her Bachelors degrees in Sociology and Economics, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Irina has managed business infrastructure and international markets at several major global enterprises, managed the Department of Health and Human Services' national quality improvement program, and was a senior planning analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Currently she is the Director of the Rotary Club of Denver. Irina is dedicated to improving the lives of local, national and global communities and making the world a better place for future generations.

 

Mark Monroe

Mark Monroe is the Director of Sustainable Computing for Sun Microsystems. He works on strategies for the design and operation of environmentally responsible data centers with the goal of enabling sustainable, carbon-neutral computing on a large scale. Mark is Sun's board of directors’ representative for The Green Grid, and works with local governments and the University of Colorado on sustainability.

 

Andrea Ray

Andrea is a research scientist for the NOAA Earth Systems Research Lab and the NOAA-CU Western Water Assessment developing practical applications of climate research.  She works on water and climate issues, in particular on how institutions and policies are resilient to climate variations such as drought and climate change.  She holds an A.B. in Geology from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Colorado. She has lived in Boulder for almost 10 years.

John V. Anderson

John has a 25 year career in clean energy technology, financing and markets. John has worked with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was the founding Managing Director of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, and worked as an independent consultant focusing on small energy technology companies working to develop a strategic plan that leads to a solid business case, and on institutions working on strategic planning in the clean energy field.  In 2005 John joined the Rocky Mountain Institute as the Team Leader of the Energy and Resources Services Team where he manages a group of researchers and consultants working in the fields of energy and sustainability, primarily for Fortune 500 firms and electric utilities.

Congressman Mark Udall
Congressman Mark Udall

Congressman Udall has been a warrior in the fight for environmental protection. In addition to being an elected member of the US House of Representatives from the 2nd Congressional District, Udall is also the Co-Chair of the House Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus.

 

State Representative Alice Madden

Alice represents Colorado House District 10, which consists of central Boulder, Gunbarrel and Niwot.  She is the House Majority Leader and has served on a number of Legislative committees including Appropriations; Agriculture & Natural Resources; Judiciary; and Information & Technology. A graduate of University of Colorado School of Law, Rep. Madden practiced employment law at Fairfield & Woods, one of Denver’s finest law firms.  Prior to running for office, she taught legal writing and was the Director of Alumni Relations for the CU Law School.  A longtime community activist, Rep. Madden has focused on creating stronger communities through improving the economy and access to quality education and health care. 

Jared Polis
Jared Polis

Jared Polis is the Vice-Chair and statewide elected member of the State Board of Education. Jared has made his mark on Colorado by spearheading efforts to improve education and expand the reach of philanthropy through the Jared Polis Foundation.

 

Hunter Lovins
Hunter Lovins

Hunter is the founder of the Natural Capitalism Organization and the Co-Founder of the Rocky Mountain Institute. She has led international efforts to promote efficiency and renewable sources of energy.
