Norm Murphy
President
Norm is a real estate developer of mixed use and residential real estate with a focus on affordable, green-built homes within the urban landscape. He's the founder of Canyon Properties and Mindful Homes with holdings in Colorado. He served as Assistant to the former Chief Justice of the United States, Warren Burger, and is a graduate of Georgetown University.
Mark Ruzzin
Vice-President
| Mark has long been active in Boulder-area political and environmental circles. He served as Boulder’s mayor from 2004 – 2007, and on city council from 2001 – 2007. As mayor he played a critical role in the development of Boulder’s Climate Action Plan and in winning voter-approval for the nation’s first carbon tax. Mark was one of the first signatories of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. His professional environmental work has included stints with ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, and Eco-Cycle. Mark, his wife Elizabeth, and their two young boys live in North Boulder. |

Bob Beckemeyer
Treasurer
Bob is COO, co-founder and Board member of Rebit Inc., an exciting start up in the PC data backup space. Bob is a financial and operational executive, serial entrepreneur and advocate of resource conservation and renewable energy. Bob has previously served as CFO of Benchmark Storage Innovations, Spectra Logic and Aspen Peripherals and has also held executive financial and operational positions at Storage Technology and Exabyte including general management of worldwide customer service and plant operations. He also has had extensive international accounting and finance experience in Asia and Europe. Bob has a B.S. in Accounting from Southern Illinois University. |

Polly Jessen
Secretary
Polly is an attorney who counsels public, private and non-profit clients in project development and regulatory matters that involve environmental, land use, and municipal law both in Colorado and nationwide. She is a partner in the law firm of Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP. Her clients include contaminated property redevelopers, developers of renewable energy projects, and recyclers. Polly is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law and Princeton University. She speaks and publishes frequently on contaminated property redevelopment issues. |

Mark Monroe

Mark Monroe is the Director of Sustainable Computing for Sun Microsystems. He works on strategies for the design and operation of environmentally responsible data centers with the goal of enabling sustainable, carbon-neutral computing on a large scale. Mark is Sun's board of directors’ representative for The Green Grid, and works with local governments and the University of Colorado on sustainability.
Andrea Ray
Andrea is a research scientist for the NOAA Earth Systems Research Lab and the NOAA-CU Western Water Assessment developing practical applications of climate research. She works on water and climate issues, in particular on how institutions and policies are resilient to climate variations such as drought and climate change. She holds an A.B. in Geology from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Colorado. She has lived in Boulder for almost 10 years. |

John V. Anderson

John has a 25 year career in clean energy technology, financing and markets. John has worked with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was the founding Managing Director of the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, and worked as an independent consultant focusing on small energy technology companies working to develop a strategic plan that leads to a solid business case, and on institutions working on strategic planning in the clean energy field. In 2005 John joined the Rocky Mountain Institute as the Team Leader of the Energy and Resources Services Team where he manages a group of researchers and consultants working in the fields of energy and sustainability, primarily for Fortune 500 firms and electric utilities.
Darren Johnston
Darren is the founder and lead consultant at UHG Consulting, a Boulder based consulting firm, which advises businesses on their sustainability initiatives. In addition to his position at UHG, Darren serves on various Boards including the board of a private foundation, which funds environmental projects and a solar company he co-founded. Darren holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Computer Science from Boston University. |

Greg Harms

Greg has lived in the Boulder area since 1992. He served on the Board of Directors for the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless for five years before becoming the Executive Director in 2002. He has also served on the boards of E-town, the Inn Between, Boulder County Advocates for Transitional Housing. Greg holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from Kansas State University and a MBA from Harvard University. He worked in the for-profit sector including stints with Hewlett-Packard, Emerson Electric, Qualcomm and Ericsson Wireless Communications before joining the Shelter.

Senator Mark Udall

In 2008, Mark was elected United States Senator for the state of Colorado. Mark represented Colorado's Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1999-2009, and served as the Co-Chair of the House Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus.
Congressman Jared Polis

In November 2008, Jared was elected to the United States Congress to represent the second Congressional district of Colorado.
Prior to this election, Jared served as the Vice-Chair and statewide elected member of the State Board of Education. Jared has made his mark on Colorado by spearheading efforts to improve education and expand the reach of philanthropy through the Jared Polis Foundation.
Hunter Lovins

Hunter is the founder of the Natural Capitalism Organization and the Co-Founder of the Rocky Mountain Institute. She has led international efforts to promote efficiency and renewable sources of energy.
